Privacy Policy

Joust is built to be used anonymously. We don't require an account, name, or email.

What we store.An anonymous device identifier (a random id in a cookie) used to manage your session, line position, and bans. Transient room state (who's seated, who's in line, presence) is kept only while rooms are active.

Video & audio. Live streams are routed through our real-time provider (LiveKit) to other participants and viewers. We do not record debates in this version of the product.

Chat. Viewer chat is delivered live and not durably stored.

Bans. If you violate the rules, your anonymous identifier may be retained on a blocklist to enforce the ban.

Third parties. We rely on infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel, LiveKit, Upstash) to operate the service; your data is processed by them solely to provide it.
