Privacy Policy
Joust is built to be used anonymously. We don't require an account, name, or email.
What we store. An anonymous device identifier (a random id in a cookie) used to manage your session, line position, and bans. Transient room state (who's seated, who's in line, presence) is kept only while rooms are active.
Video & audio.Live streams are routed through our real-time provider (LiveKit) to other participants and viewers. Debates aren't recorded by default.
Clips. If you choose to publish a clip, that short video is stored (via Vercel Blob) and shown on the public clips page until it expires or is removed.
Chat. Viewer chat is delivered live; only a short recent history is kept so new viewers see context.
Bans. If you violate the rules, your anonymous identifier may be retained on a blocklist to enforce the ban.
Third parties. We rely on infrastructure providers (e.g. Vercel, LiveKit, Upstash) to operate the service; your data is processed by them solely to provide it.
