How it works

1

Stake your claim

Make a bold claim and take the Defender's seat. Hold the field as long as you can.

2

Defend the field

Challengers ride in to unseat you. Argue live on camera while the crowd spams 7TV emotes.

3

The crowd decides

Viewers raise 🚩 flags to unseat a debater, and the next challenger takes the seat.

Questions before you ride in

Do I need an account?

No. Joust is anonymous — watch, chat, and even ride in to debate without signing up.

How do I get in a debate?

Pick categories or add tags, then hit “Make your claim.” We pair you with another waiting challenger and drop you both into a public arena as Defender vs Challenger. Viewers watch instantly.

Do I have to be on camera?

Only to debate. Taking a seat needs a working camera and mic. To just watch and chat, no camera needed.

How is it kept fair?

When challengers are waiting, seats rotate so everyone gets a turn. The crowd raises 🚩 flags to unseat a debater, and the next challenger rides in. Admins and featured-room moderators can mute, kick, or ban.

What are the 7TV emotes?

The crowd reacts with the same animated emotes streamers use — a live 7TV set wired into chat and the floating reactions, aimed at whichever side you want to hype or roast.

What’s not allowed?
